Aroma Calsa di Lestari Book Review
A little about the content
rryalsrussell – Before Janila Lalas died, she left something behind.
“Puspa Khalsa no one chose me.” ”
So Lalas, at the behest of his mother and his personal obsession, began looking for Puspa Khalsa.
From the old palm leaves, Prayagung Lara learned that the Puspa Kalsa he knew from fairy tales was actually a real plant hidden in a secret location. Lalas is obsessed with hunting Puspa Kalsa, a magical flower that is said to be able to control his will and can only be recognized by its aroma which unites him and Jati Wesi. Teak wood has a very good sense of smell. He was nicknamed Rat Nose at the Bantar Gebang landfill where he grew up. Of all the jobs he does to earn a living, Jati is most proud of making perfume. Jati’s abilities fascinated Lalas. Lalas not only employed Jati in his company, but also invited him into his personal life.

Later, Jati meets Tanaya Suma, Lalas’ only child who has similar abilities. At first Suma really didn’t like Jati. Moreover, the nightmare that Jati experienced when he first arrived seemed to indicate that something bad would happen in the future. However, Jati’s sincere attitude aroused pity and deep feelings in Tanaya Suma’s heart.
Pencarian Puspa Khalsa dimulai.
Were you able to find Puspa Khalsa? What happened to Prayagung Jati, Suma and Lala?
The search for Puspa Khalsa reveals many secrets from Suma, Jati and Lalas’ past when they changed the world.
The spraying was accompanied by a faded note that Janira suspects refers to three bronze tubes. It says this:
The first part will change your fate.
In the second half, the fate of the descendants changes. The third part is to change the world according to your wishes.
About the physicality and design of the book
When it comes to simple yet cute jacket designs, I’ve come to the conclusion that you either love it or hate it :D. I like the cute color choice, but the cover is so simple that if Dee Lestari’s name wasn’t on it, and the book wasn’t heavily promoted, I doubt this book would be overlooked in a bookstore display. This book is circulating in cyberspace. However, this is a matter of taste, and I’m sure many of my friends like this choice of book cover design.
What is certain is that the book is thick. It took some time to finish reading. But fortunately, the engaging story and clean language make this tome a short and easy read if you like the plot.

Even though it is a quasi-fantasy genre, this book does not contain any illustrations. The arrangement of sentences in the story seems to give the reader freedom of imagination. For visual readers, you might wish you had just a few pictorial illustrations to guide and complement your imagination, but for other types of readers, this can be a big problem. The illustrations are usually fairy tales or young adult romance novels. figures and characters
Tanaya Suma is a beautiful, intelligent and ambitious girl, but her life in “prison” is limited by her own power of smell, making her somewhat isolated from her surroundings. Seeing his successful and rich life, I was a little tempted by his charm :D. However, Jati Wesi’s character is more convincing. The dream man looks simple, stubborn, has a good sense of smell, has dreams, never gives up, and is brave. Another ambitious woman in the novel is of course Prayagung, Lala. He used effort and strategy to find Puspa Khalsa. An enemy that deserves to be ended by Dee Lestari. The ending is fitting.
There are many other complementary characters who enhance the story depending on their role. I think all the characters in this novel have their own individuality. Dee Lestari is actually a great writer. Plot and setting
In fact, the plot of this novel develops, but there are interludes that introduce past events to help readers understand what is happening in the present. A game plot like that makes the story not monotonous. Not to mention the mix of real world and pure fantasy that makes you want to keep reading the story.
For me, this novel is not a boring book. I noticed readers might be a little confused about this at the start of the story. The key is just to be patient. Later, gradually you will understand the storyline and start enjoying it. Not a single storyline will be deleted, even though the ending leaves a question mark.
That’s De Lestari’s writing style. Her first book, “Knights, Princesses and Fallen Stars,” also seemed confusing at first, but then I was hooked. For friends who like parts that are quite poetic and very detailed, the novel Aroma Khalsa seems to meet these criteria.
What was interesting and/or what did you like about this book?
At the top of the book, I found a special page with a thank you message. When I read the names and places included, I realized that they were DKI Jakarta Provincial Environmental Service staff, Mustika Ratu Laboratory staff, and academics from the University’s Faculty of Indonesian Culture, as well as the book Aroma Khalsa by D. Lestari. I realized how seriously he took his research. other parties.
In the chapter table of contents, I also found several unusual and interesting chapter titles, such as Janirah the Thief, Si Nose Rat, and Anung Confused.
Like Dee Lestari’s other books, this book also displays imagination expressed in a series of sentences so that it feels even more unique and fits perfectly with the theme of aroma in the story.
